KYC 2:  We’re Getting a bit Comfortable 

Okay, we see you. You’ve shared a bit more, and the trust is building. You now have access to more features and higher limits. It’s looking good!

KYC 3: We Know You Well 

Full access unlocked. You’re verified, trusted, and flying limit-free. No financial wahala, just smooth sailing with all the perks.

Tried to Upgrade but Still Stuck?

You’re not alone if you've ever thought:

“I’ve uploaded everything, why am I still not upgraded?”

We get it. It can be frustrating. But let’s walk you through the real reasons it might be taking a while to level up.

Common Reasons Your KYC 3 Upgrade Is acting “Stubborn”:

  • You Didn’t Fill All the Required Details: It feels like i caught you right haha, you skipped one or two tiny things like your signature or address and assumed it won’t matter. Oh, but it does. Even that “just one small field” can hold everything back.
  • Your Documents Are Not Clear: Some people send in pictures that look like they snapped them in a moving bus. Blurry, dark, tilted, how are we supposed to read that? Help us help you: snap in good light, make it clear pleaseeeee.
  • Your Utility Bill is Old Enough to Vote please don't use it: We know and you know too that the utility bill is more than 3 months old, but still you submit it please, if your NEPA bill is from last year, it won’t work. We need something recent, within the last 3 months.
  • You Used a Student ID: We said government-approved ID. You gave us your department ID card with “Class Rep 2021” written on it. We love ambition, but please bring your NIN, voter’s card, driver’s license, or international passport.
  • Your Name Doesn’t Match: Your account says “Faith Johnson” but your ID card says “Johnson Faith Michael.” We’ll be confused. Let your name match as expected, it saves everyone the stress.

SAFEHAVEN’S KYC 3 UPGRADE CHECKLIST

Before you resubmit, double - check this list:

• Fill every single field, yes, even the “tiny” ones.

• Snap and upload clear, readable documents.

• Make sure your utility bill is recent (within 3 months).

• Use a valid government ID, no school IDs, abeg.

• passport picture ID

• Ensure your name matches your ID card name. No remix.

How to Fix It (and Enter Full Soft Life Mode)

Once you get everything right:

  1. Log in to your Safe Haven app.
  2. Go to your Profile or Settings.
  3. Click on Upgrade to KYC 3.
  4. Upload the correct documents and confirm all your details.

Your upgrade will go through like butter on hot bread.
